Faculty Positions
Indian Institute of Science Education & Research is set up at Pune by the Government of India at par with IITs and IISc Bangalore. Govt. of India has made very generous financial outlay to IISER to set up state-of-the-art research facilities in all branches of sciences (physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology) and to promote interdisciplinary areas of research. IISER, Pune pursues full-fledged research activity not only at the Institute and but also in a network arrangement with other internationally reputed research institutions. The Institute invites applications for FACULTY positions from Indian nationals possessing excellent academic record and research experience. Applicants will be considered for the following faculty positions in the pay scales mentioned, along with additional allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees in Pune.
Professor: Rs 18,400 - 500 - 22,400
Associate Professor: Rs 16,400 - 450 - 20,000
Assistant Professor: Rs 12,000 - 420 - 18,300
IISER, Pune aims to provide excellent academic ambience, research facilities and funding. IISER, Pune would support its faculty members with a yearly book grant, Financial support to attend national/international Conferences/Seminars/ Workshops, etc. Until the faculty housing comes up on the campus, Institute will provide additional financial assistance towards renting suitable accommodation.
