Position : Research Associate (RA) - 01 post
Title of the Project : Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility project

Emoluments : Rs.16,000+15%H.R.A
Essential Qualification: Doctorate (Ph.D) in Life science with research, teaching ,design and development experience. Preference will be given to those who have teaching and research experience in Bioinformatics.
Duration : One year or upto the end of the project whichever is later.
Position : Studentship- 01 (post)
Traineeship- 01 (post)
Emoluments : Rs. 5000/- p.m (consolidated)
Qualification: : M. Sc in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Microbiology/ Life sciences. Preference will be given to those having handled Bioinformatics.
Duration : Six months / One year

Terms and conditions:
• No. TA and DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Selected candidate has to join immediately.

Essential Qualifications: MSc in Zoology/Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination (with relaxation as per GOI rules). Candidates with NET(UGC-CSIR)/GATE and working experience in Biochemistry / Molecular Biology would be preferred.

The Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH) is a constituent R&D establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Which is engaged in research in many different areas of modern biological sciences and microbe-related biotechnology, with special emphasis on research and development of an interdisciplinary nature, as exemplified by the broad areas, i.e. Microbiology, Protein Science & Engineering, Fermentation Science, Bioinformatics, Immunology and Cell biology, Molecular Biology & genetics.

The Institute wishes to recruit Research Interns under “CSIR Diamond Jubilee Research Interns Award Scheme” to attract young and brilliant candidates to demonstrate their interest in Scientific Research as well as for qualifying and securing other research fellowships as per details given below : -

Essential Qualification :- M. Sc (Ist Class) in the area of Environmental Sciences / LifeScience / Bio-chemistry / Bio-Informatics/Bio-Physics/Bio-technology / Molecular-Biology / Microbiology

Age Limit :- 25 years as on 27.04.2010 which is relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, Physically Handicapped, OBC and Female candidates.

Remuneration :- Rs.11,500/- p.m. (fixed)

Duration :- Two years and not extendable.

The engagement for the above position is purely on temporary and contract basis for the period of duration of the Internship. Interns continuation in the scheme shall be reviewed after every six months and in case the performance is not satisfactory, the Internship can be terminated with one months notice or one months salary in lieu thereof without assigning any reasons.
