BIOINFORMATICS INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITY CENTRE

Applications are invited from women candidates only, for the following positions (purely temporary), sponsored by the DBT, New Delhi, for advanced research training in Bioinformatics.

1. Studentships – 02
Eligibility - Students perusing postgraduate degree in Bioinformatics or any branch of Life Sciences with a programme in Bioinformatics to carry out the project.
2. Traineeships – 02
Eligibility: Applicants who have completed their Post Graduate degree in Bioinformatics or any other branch of Life Sciences with knowledge in Bioinformatics. B.Tech in Bioinformatics graduates are also eligible.
Preference will be given to fresh Graduates with experience in computational Bioinformatics tools/ related field/ handling of Bioinformatics software/ database development.

A monthly stipend of 5000/- (Consolidated) shall be awarded to both the candidates of Studentship and Traineeship and duration of the training will be for 6 months.
Applications on plain paper, stating the name, address, date of birth, educational qualifications and experiences, and Institute, along with attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificates, should be submitted to the Coordinator, BIF Centre, Department of Applied Microbiology, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati-517 502, Andra Pradesh, on or before 31st December 2008.

Interested Candidates are required to appear for an interview, with all the necessary certificates in original along with a set of attested copies, on 2nd January, 2009 at 11am in the Committee Hall of Administrative Building of the University.
