Walkin interview
A walkin interview will be held at 10.00 a.m. on 31 May, 2011 (Tuesday) in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University, Napaam, Tezpur for the following project positions under Principal Investigatorship of Prof. A. K. Mukherjee, Department of MBBT.
Title of the Project :“Assessment of thrombolytic potential and anticancer activity of fibrinolytic enzymes purified from Russell’s viper venom and bacteria isolated from NEIndia” funded by DBT.
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)01
Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess a M. Sc. in Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry//Biotechnology/ Life Sciences / M. Pharm from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate for General Category and 55% for SC/ST/OBC and physically challenged candidates.
Desirable : NET/ GATE/BET/BINC qualified candidates and/or person having Experience in protein purification, bioanalytical and microbial culture techniques.
Fellowship
: Rs 16,000 + 10% HRA p.m. for the first two years (JRF) and Rs 18,000 + 10% HRA p.m. for the 3 rd year (SRF) will be applicable to NET/ GATE/BET/BINC qualified candidates.
: Rs 12,000 + 10% HRA p.m. for the first two years and Rs 14,000 + 10% HRA p.m. for
the 3 rd year (SRF) for other candidates.
Age : Candidate should not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidate belonging SC/ ST/OBC/Women / physically challenged candidates and applicants having experience of
working with UPLC, Protein purification system, LCMS.
Duration : 3 (three) years or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
2. Project Assistant (TA): 01
Educational Qualification: Candidate should be B.Sc. (Hons.) from a recognized University in any branches of Life Science (with chemistry as one of the subjects)/ Chemical Sciences with 55% marks for General Category and 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC/ physically challenged candidates.
Desirable : One year experience in any government R&D laboratory/ University Institute is
preferable.
Fellowship : Rs. 8,000/ p.m. (Consolidated)
Age : Candidate should not be more than 25 years of age on the date interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidate belonging SC/ST/OBC/Women / physically challenged / experienced candidates.
