Salary :- Rs12000/- p.m. + HRA (HRA for NET/GATE qualified candidates only)
Qualification:- M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) First Class from a recognized university. Candidates with NET/GATE qualifications will be preferred.
General Conditions:- Junior Research Fellow/Project Assistant (Level II) – Four posts (Organic Chemistry) (Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi, sponsored project)

Age: Should not be more than 28 years on July 16, 2009.
CSMCRI is a national research laboratory under CSIR, which is well equipped with research facilities of international standards (website: www.csmcri.org).
Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals for the positions of Junior Research Fellow/Project Assistant Level-II, to work in the area of natural products chemistry of seaweeds/marine algae for identification and characterization of bioactive lipid and water soluble compounds including polysaccharides under a national project funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi. They will also join the collection team, as and when required, for the collection of seaweeds from the Indian coasts.
The candidates meeting the above requirements may attend the walk-in-interview with a copy of detailed biodata, original certificates along with their attested photocopies and a passport size photograph on July 16, 2009 at 9.30 A.M. at Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, G B Marg, Bhavnagar-364002. The selection of candidates will be done by conducting a screening test followed by personal interview of the short listed candidates on the same day. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
These posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR.
