Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), is a constituent R&D establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) a premier agency established by Govt. of India to undertake Scientific & Industrial Research. The institute is engaged in research in many different areas of modern biological sciences and microbe-related biotechnology, with special emphasis on research that is interdisciplinary and of a collaborative nature.
The Institute invites applications from young & dynamic persons to fill up following positions:-
POST No.1 :- Technical Officer Group III (4) - 1 Post (Unreserved )
Pay Scale:- Rs.15,600-39,100 plus Grade Pay Rs.5400/- + usual allowances as admissible to Central Govt. employees stationed at Chandigarh (Total Emoluments: Rs.32,000/- approx.)
Essential Qualification:- 1st class Diploma in Hotel Management of 3-years full-time duration or its equivalent from a recognized Institute / University and 9-years of experience in star Hotel / Institute / Guest House with good catering knowledge. Should have a pleasing personality, good communication skills, able to use software / Computers and capable of handling dignitaries
Job Requirement:- To manage & look after day to day activities of Guest House/Hostels including booking of Guest House, Hospitality to Guests / VIPs, upkeep of premises, Catering Services etc.
Age Limit:- Not exceeding 35 years as on 30.06.2009.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. The service under CSIR/IMTECH is governed by the New Defined Contributory Pension Scheme of Government of India as made applicable with effect from 01st January, 2004.
2. The prescribed age limit will be reckoned as on the last date for receipt of application. Relaxation of age in respect of Physically Handicapped and Ex-Serviceman will be as per G.O.I Orders. Relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/Meritorious Sportsperson will be as per GOI Orders in respect of posts reserved for those categories.
3. Relaxation of 5-years in age will also be permissible to those who had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 subject to production of relevant certificate from concerned authority.
4. Those employed in Govt. Deptt,/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies should send their applications through proper channel.
5. Mere fulfillment of the minimum prescribed qualification and experience will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for interview.
6. Since it may not be possible to call all the candidates for interview, a duly constituted Screening committee shall screen the applications and if it feels necessary, may arrange written tests for short-listing the candidates. The decision of the Institute in this regard will be final.
7. Incomplete, unsigned applications and those not accompanied with copies of certificates and application fee will be summarily rejected.
8. Canvassing in any form and or/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
