Biomedical Informatics Centre, NIRRH is organizing a 3-day workshop (June 16th – 18th,2009) on “Creation of databases using Microsoft Access”.
The topics to be addressed during the workshop include introduction to databases,creation and management of tables and queries, designing forms and generation ofreports. The mode of training would be through lectures followed by hands-on sessions.
This workshop will be useful for social workers, clinicians, academicians and scientistswho are involved in activities that lead to the generation of voluminous data that aredifficult to be managed on conventional paper-based system.
Eligibility criteria for applicants include a MBBS or postgraduate degree along with aregular position in a recognized academic, health or research institution of India.Interested applicants should send their application letter (clearly mention the benefit ofattending this workshop) along with their complete biodata via email to biomedinfo@nirrh.res.in OR bioinfonirrh@icmr.org.in . The last date for receipt ofapplications is June 10, 2009. A maximum of 25 candidates will be selected. Theselected candidates will be intimated by email on June 12, 2009. The selected candidatesshould bring a proof of identity (photo ID) and recommendation letter of the Head of theinstitution for the workshop.
The workshop is being fully supported by Indian Council of Medical Research. There isno course fee. The selected candidates will, however, have to make their ownarrangements for travel and accommodation
