WALK– IN INTERVIEW
Walk-in interview will be held in the Department of Biotechnology, Mizoram University, Aizawl for the following position under each of the following projects:
1) CSIR Major Research Project entitled “Screening for Insecticidal susceptibility and molecular characterization of Anopheles minimus and Anopheles dirus using RAPD-PCR”. Duration: Three years; Date of interview: 01 May 2009 (Friday) at 10:00 am.
Positions Available: One - Research Associate (Emolument: Rs.11000/- pm plus HRA as eligible) or Senior Research Fellow (Emolument: Rs.9000/- pm plus HRA as eligible). If no suitable candidates are found for RA, the position will be converted to SRF. Candidates selected directly by CSIR will be given preference.
Eligibility for RA: Candidates having Ph.D degree in Biotechnology/Molecular biology or equivalent. Evidence of research experience in molecular biology techniques is essential from published work; Age: below 35 years; (or)
Eligibility for SRF: Candidates having First class M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology/Molecular biology or equivalent and two years of post-M.Sc research experience is essential in molecular biology techniques as evidenced from published papers; CSIR-NET candidates will be given preference; Age: below 32 years.
2) Directorate of Health Services, Govt. of Mizoram minor research project “Evaluation of Anopheles mosquito breeding habitats and the prevalence of Malaria in Mizoram”. Duration: Three years; Date of interview: 01 May 2009 (Friday) at 02:00 pm.
Project Fellow– One; Emolument: Rs.5000/- pm plus HRA as eligible; Eligibility: Candidates having First class M.Sc. degree in Zoology/ Life Sciences or equivalent; Age: below 28 years.
General - Appointment is purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. Candidates appearing for the walk-in interview should bring all the original certificates/testimonials for verification along with CV and copies of certificates.
