Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the position of "Research Associate" (Rs. 16,000/- + HRA per month) and "Junior Research Fellow" (Rs. 12,000 + HRA per month) in DBT project entitled "Isolation and functional characterization of genes from necrotrophic chickpea-blight fungus Ascochyta rabiei which involved in pathegenesis during compatible interactions".
Essential qualifications: Research Associate:Candidates having Ph.D. degree in any descipline of life sciences (Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology and any other related field) are eligible to apply. Experience of working with molecular biology of fungus/plant is highly desirable.
Junior Research Fellow: Candidates having M.Sc. degree in any discipline of life sciences (Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology and any other related filed) are eligible to apply. Research experience at M.Sc. level in molecular biology will be given preference.
The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, but can be curtailed or extended based on the performance and discertion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR may select candidate in the lower position against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.
